2023 Shelby County Chess Scholastic Championship
Finish out the school year in style with the Shelby County Chess Scholastic Championship!
Date: Sunday May 7th, 2023
Location: Lausanne Collegiate School (1381 W Massey)
Format: 4 Rounds Swiss G30; d5 NO ELIMINATIONS Open to all players in Grades K-12 regardless of skill level.
Cost $20 online before May 7 $25 thereafter and On Site
Time: Registration begins at 12:15, first rounds begins at 1:00pm. All other rounds ASAP. Estimated Finish 5:15pm
Sections: 3 USCF Rated Sections (USCF membership required), Rated Over 1000, Rated Under 1000, and Rated Under 500 2 Unrated Sections (No Membership Required) Unrated Grades K-4 and Unrated Grades 5-12
Note: One half point bye may be requested for any round provided it is done before the start of the tournament.
Prizes: Trophies to the top 3 players in each section, all other players will receive a prize.
Concessions will be sold during the event.
