Gobble Up Some Fun with Shelby County Chess Annual "Turkey Bowl" Scholastic Chess Tournament:
Date: Saturday November 12, 2022
Location: 2432 Yester Oaks Dr Germantown, TN
Time: Registration begins at 9am; First round begins at 9:30. Estimated Finish 2:00pm
Cost: $15 online if paid by November 11th. $20 on day of tournament or on site.
Format 4 rounds Swiss pairings G30; d0 (Each player receives 30 minutes to complete their moves)
There will be NO ELIMINATION from this tournament, players are guaranteed to play all 4 games.
Open to all Scholastic Chess Players grades K-12
Sections: (Note: All Rated Sections require membership with US Chess Federation, no membership is required for any unrated sections)
Rated: Under 500, Rated Under 1000, Rated over 1000
Unrated: Unrated Grades K-4, Rated Grades 5-12
Prizes: Trophies awarded to top 3 winners in each section. All participants regardless of standing will receive a prize.
