Shelby County Chess Scholastic Kick-off
Date: Saturday September 6th
Location: Grace St Lakes School-Anchor Center (250 Lemaster, Memphis)
Time: Registrations opens at 12:30pm First round begins at 1pm All other rounds ASAP (Estimated Finish 5:30pm)
3 Sections: Unrated Grades K-8 (No membership Required)
Rated Sections (USCF Membership Required) Rated Under 600 and Rated Over 600
Cost: $20 Online prior to September 5th. $25 thereafter and on-site
Format: 4 Rounds Swiss G25; d5 (No Eliminations! Each player is guaranteed to play all 4 rounds regardless of standing
Prizes: Top 3 in each section will receive a trophy. All players regardless of standing will receive a prize.
Concessions and chess equipment will be available for sale on site.
Players who have a clock should bring their own. We have a limited number of spare clocks for players without one.
