Shelby County Scholastic Chess Championships 2025. Join us for our end of school celebration of chess!
Date: Saturday May 17th, 2025
Location: Crosswind Elementary School (831 Shelton Rd, Collierville)
Times: Registration: 8:00am-8:45am. First Round begins at 9:00am Estimated Finish 2:30pm
Cost: $20 Online by May 15th. $25 May 16th and onsite (Please consider registering early to help us plan this exciting tournament)
Format: 4 Round Swiss Tournament (No Eliminations! Each player plays 4 games regardless of score) G30; d5
Sections: 4 Rated Sections (Updated USCF Membership required): Rated Over 1400, Rated Under 1400, Rated Under 1000, and Rated Under 500
2 Unrated Sections (No Membership necessary) Unrated Grades K-4 and Unrated Grades 5-8
Prizes: Top 3 players in each section will receive a trophy. All players regardless of standing will receive a prize.
Concessions will be sold on site. We will not take a Lunch Break to allow us to end at an earlier time.
Please bring Clocks if you have them. A limited number of clocks will be available for this tournament.
